Artist's Description
A majestic stag stands gracefully in a lush landscape, surrounded by vibrant greens and hints of red foliage. The background features softly blended colors, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere.
Long known as the "King of the Forest" in England (at a time we had huge stretches of woodland), the stag has long been a symbol of virility, fertility, strength, wildness, and positive masculinity. Associated with the Greek god, Pan, and the Celtic god Cernunnos, it still holds importance in the Pagan and Wiccan communities. White stags have also been a known as a symbol of Christ in Christian myth.
Sketched in 2022 using ink and watercolour on cartridge paper.

Dianna is an artist, fiction author, and an all-round creative having worked in many fields of the literary and visual arts. She begins an MA degree in Illustration in 2025. Living in England, she uses a sketchy approach to her art to create bold, vibrant, and youthful images with ink, graphite, and watercolours (and sometimes mixed media), translating what she sees in her environment into amusing, thoughtful, or peaceful expressions.
