Artist's Description
A lone figure stands atop a grassy hill, gazing into the dark, stormy night sky. Shadows and soft colors blend to evoke a mysterious, ethereal atmosphere.
"The Moors" was directly inspired by Wuthering Heights (Emily Brontë). In this instance though, through my personalisation, Heathcliff was not a human lover, but the burn of passion for “creation” itself; the need for every muse; the inability to escape what you are when caught in the throes of those whispers. It was an earlier pastel sketch for me, created in 2002.
About Dianna Hardy

Dianna is an artist, fiction author, and an all-round creative having worked in many fields of the literary and visual arts. She's currently studying for a Master of Arts in Illustration. Living in England, she uses a sketchy approach to her art to create bold, vibrant, and youthful images with ink, graphite, and watercolours (and sometimes mixed media), translating what she sees in her environment into amusing, thoughtful, or peaceful expressions. Her 'naive' style has a knack for brightening any room and encouraging a second look. Follow her on social media for her latest scribbles, some of which make it in onto here. Thank you for visiting!
